Can I edit my policy after I have already started traveling?

Once you have departed on your trip, you may no longer edit your travel insurance policy. However, up until the day of the listed departure date, you may make edits to your policy including changes to travel dates, trip costs, and incorrect personal information.
If you or your traveling companion are hospitalized and are required to stay at your destination longer than anticipated, or if you’re trip is extended due to a covered unforeseen reason, most travel insurance policies may automatically extend coverage to you for up to 7 days.
